We have had a BUSY week! Wednesday started the Quilt Walk Festival here in Panguitch. I am the secretary, so I was on the phone all week talking to people about questions they had, and making reservations for the dinner theater. Wednesday I took the girls down to the chocolate fest. I let them each pick two items. They chose to do the chocolate fountain, and Kadence picked the biggest piece of chocolate cake she could find. We brought Tyrell home his favorite, german chocolate cake with the yucky coconut frosting!
Thursday we were busy preparing for our visitors coming on Friday. We were busy checking everyone into the hotel and more phone calls. Friday we got to watch Parker play in two baseball games. He made the all-star team and their first tournament was in Panguitch. We were excited to have them here again. Their team ended up taking 2nd place.
Friday afternoon my mom, dad, and aunt Jeanette came. Nickie, Jeanette, my mom and I went to the Quilt Walk dinner theater. The kids later got in the hot tub, and were finally asleep at 11:30 p.m.
Saturday they had a heritage fair for the kids. We took the kids down and they had a petting zoo, went on a hand cart ride, made candles, corn husk dolls, butter, bowls out of clay, they also got a coloring book about the quilt walk pioneers, and a square of fabric so they could learn how to sew.
Taylor ended up coming down Saturday afternoon. Parker had another game at 3:00, so most of the crowd went to that, and the others went on a home tour of a few historical houses in town. We got in a round of cards, ate dinner, and then another baseball game. Jeanette went back to Gunnison Saturday night. The night ended with almost everyone in the hot tub, and getting to bed late. We can't forget checking more people in and more phone calls all day long!! We had so much fun and are tired today.
Our power was out for about 5 hours yesterday afternoon, and our kids didn't know what to do, they couldn't watch t.v. or play computer games! Tyrell is gone to Idaho for the week for training, so I'm sure it will be a LONG week for me. Sorry for all the randomness.
